I'm Kishor Makwana, a software developer based in Ahmedabad, India. I've spent 7 years working with SQL Server, .NET, and Angular, mostly on Engineering base ERP .
This blog is where I write down what I learn at work, usually after spending longer than I'd like on a problem that turned out to have a specific cause.
What I write about
Most of what's here is SQL Server: query performance, execution plans, indexing decisions, and the features that quietly changed how the optimizer behaves between versions. That's the work I do day to day, and it's where I have something to say that isn't already in the documentation.
I also write occasionally about .NET and Angular, and more recently about where AI tooling does and doesn't fit into ordinary development work.
The articles here come out of real problems. When I write about a slow query, it was slow on a real server, and the fix is one I actually shipped. Where I'm uncertain about something, I say so.
My background
I am a FullStack Developer.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Working together
I take on consulting work in two areas: diagnosing and fixing SQL Server performance problems, and cleaning up .NET and Angular codebases that have become difficult to change.
If something in a post looks like a problem you're currently having, write to me at jay.kishor88@gmail.com and describe it. I'm happy to say whether it's something I can help with.
